Commission Rules and use of my art

Please read these few points before comissioning me or buying a piece of my artwork. I reserve the right to refuse any commission.

Commissioned Picture content: I will not draw pornographic pictures (pictures depicting sexual acts or situations) or full frontal nudity. I will draw some scenes which include violence - please specify when contacting me and we can discuss. I will not draw pictures depicting illegal or inflammatory acts.
Copyrighted characters: I will not sell you a picture containing copyrighted characters that are not your own creation. This includes characters belonging to other artists as well as characters owned by, say, Disney or DC Comics. (This would be illegal.) If you can prove to me you have obtained written permission from the character owner to have me depict their character, that may be a different matter.
Use of commissioned artwork: A personal commission is for your personal use only. I will always retain copyright to the artwork itself unless previously negotiated with you as the buyer. You may use personal commissions on your own personal website and as icons/avatars etc, but it is not to be sold, copied or reproduced in any other way without my permission. If you wish to comission me commercially (book covers, publicity printings etc) please mention this in your e-mail. If you republish a commission from me on your website, always reference me as the artist, with a link back to my website wherever possible.
Use of original artworks: If you buy one of my original works, the same basic rules apply as to specifically commissioned pieces. I will always retain copyright to the artwork itself unless previously negotiated with you as the buyer. My artwork is not to be sold, copied or reproduced in any other way without my permission. You must always get in touch with me to ask my permission before using my artwork in any way. If you wish to use a piece of my original work commercially (book covers, publicity printings etc) please mention this when you contact me.
Payment for commissions or original works: I prefer payment by PayPal, although sometimes alternative methods of payment can be arranged. Contact me if you are unsure. Owing to past difficulties, I no longer accept cash payment from online buyers. I will ask for commission payment once you have approved a sketch of your commission, not before.
